Cindy Doody, LMT, NMT

Cindy Doody has her Bachelor of Science from Emerson College in Communications/Marketing. She is a 2001 graduate of Dovestar Institute of Holistic Wellness, Plymouth, MA. She opened her first studio in 2008 in Cohasset Center and named it Mariposa Massage. 5 years later she opened South Shore Neuromuscular Massage and Sports Therapy to focus more on muscular and orthopedic massage. 

Cindy has studied with Eric Dalton (MyoAlignment), James Wazlaski (Pain Management), Diane Polseno, Tom Meyers, Aaron Mattes with AIS, and Tracy Walton (Oncology Massage), Functional Movement/ FMS and many others. She values continuing education and continues to learn and add tools to her toolbelt. A Professional member of the AMTA since 2002 and a member of the  Fascia Research Congress  since 2007. In 2009 she traveled to Athletes Performance in Phoenix, Arizona to study Dry Needling with Dr. Ma, and later followed it up with medical cupping. Cindy has also earned the title of RocDoc & Medical Professional status from ROCKTAPE ( www.rocktape.com), as she has used Kinesiology Taping since 2006. In 2015 she added   IASTM (Instrumented Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) studying with Mike Reinold & Erson Religioso.   
2013-2015 Cindy was selected as one of the sports massage therapists for the Reebok Crossfit Games.  Additionally, her work with Boston Athletic Association, Boston University, and other local Universities has brought her to the forefront of sports massage.

Cindy specializes in orthopedic massage (sports injuries, post-surgical care, and work-related injuries) providing treatment to all age groups. From weekend warrior to professional athletes she has worked with competitors at all levels. Cindy loves working with kids to bring them body awareness in competitive sports and educating parent and child on how to prevent injuries through soft tissue mobilization and mobility. "We teach to see the body holistically, and see where all the moving parts are, not just focus on one area of pain", says Cindy.

In 2017 she is bringing new knowledge and offerings.  Cindy will be adding Posture and Gait Analysis to her office and lecturing at nearby studios with various colleagues. She will also be returning to the Boston Marathon in 2017 to tape runners at the ROCKTAPE booth. Please stop by and say hello...
